Facebook & public relations

To help you build credibility in your new area, you will check-in with local law enforcement & set up your Facebook Business Page. The combination of the two can make a big difference to your business, so it’s important to do when you first get to your new town.

CHECKING INTO YOUR NEW TOWN

When you get assigned your new town, you will need to check in with local law enforcement and/or town clerk. You may also need to apply for a solicitor or peddler permit. This step is crucial to building trust with your town and helping you avoid bad public relations.

SPREADING THE WORD

Once you check into your town, you will create a PR post for people in your community to share. The post should explain who you are, what you are doing, how to spot you, and asking others to share the post.

Most people use Facebook, so having as many people in your community share it will help spread the word!

SHARING YOUR POSTS

Throughout the summer, you will post photos with your customers and have them share your post onto their personal pages – which will help you get your business in front of new families.

If you use Facebook right, you can become the local celebrity!
